【MA Master Project - Character Creation】 Melon the Super Star
Melon the Super Star is one of the two character I created, for my master project in MA3D Bournemouth University. The project is an unique blend of turntable and animation to achieve purpose of storytelling, which shows a how the little girl Melon grows up playing guitar and ended up a superstar. The main purpose is to portray the intangible sense of gratitude, beyond words, through this art.
The Final animation
WIP: I try to figure out different style and outfit for the character. The second image is the previous version, I like the cyberpunk feeling of the character. However, I changed to a more pink-purple colour theme so the overall colour is more harmony.

Then I sculpt the character with Zbrush. I block out the hair in Zbrush and cloth in Marvelous Designer.
This was the guitar I planned to us as part of her design. However, to avoid too much element, I removed it during the process.

Other angle close ups. I did the grooming in Xgen. There are still some clipping problems and areas that need improvement. However, due to time constraints, I'll have to accept it as it is for now.
